Has anyone installed the Mud Flaps?

My Blue Magnatism Prime has WHITE side panels and doors with all the Salt.
    Do the Mud Flaps work?
Does it keep the road spray off the car?

There are 2 versions - Smaller Low Profile US Version for $89 and Larger Premium Euro Version for $117.99.
The US Version looks too small to work.

Why didn't the Toyota Wind Tunnel testing design the wheel wells to keep the mud and salt spray IN THE WHEEL WELL ???

My immediate inclination is to not risk hosing up aerodynamics, but then again, we don't have to deal with salt here in Austin...

Our Honda's over the years always came with at least the front flaps, sometimes all four. If they didn't have the rears I got them. Our 2010 Prius is the first car without bolt-on mud flaps. I took a look, noted that the body itself acts kind of like a mud flap, thought to leave it as-is, see how it goes. It's been fine.

Mud flaps tend to trap a lot of crap too; it became a spring-and-fall ritual, to remove them and hose out the sand and mud poultice that had collected. Not good.

I have the Euro mudguards on my Gen 3. The doors are still white but you can still see the part that isn't because it was partially covered by the mudguards. I just didn't want dirt accumulating underneath the car. It's easier to hose down the mudguard than to spray aimlessly underneath the car and hope you got it all out.

Plus in the snow, you just knock the slush or snow buildup in the mudguard rather than have it accumulate underneath the front doors.

With the Larger Euro Mud Flaps, you say you still get the salt spray on the Doors.

What size Mud Flaps are needed then ???

Why wasn't this an issue in the Wind Tunnel?
