Has anyone been able to find mudguards for Prime 2020?

Canada has dealer-installed ones for the fronts. Haven’t seen a rear set.

I bought the same mudguards referenced above. I haven't installed them yet, but they look like a perfect fit. They were made in France by Brunet for Toyota Europe. That could be why Toyota in North America doesn't know anything about them. Mine are rather old. There's a date grid on them that shows that they were manufactured back in 2016.

Will 2019 mud guard sets fit 2020?

    Wouldn't think it's different;).

All I think changed was the internal components:whistle:.

So the exterior should be good to go(y).

I just checked on Toyota's UK site and I can't find any mention of mud guards - either as standard or optional. If they've been discontinued, you'd better grab them quick if you want a set!

Reading the info on this thread and other referenced links, I decided to invest in rather expensive pieces of plastic from England. Yeah, I don't know why they don't make them for the US market. I didn't have the mud guard on my 2017 PP. And with winter salt and sand they spread all over the road here up north, the fenders were always dirty and maybe resulted in some scratches and scuffs. I am hoping this will protect it.

I never understood Toyota's decisions on what accessories deserve to be made available in what markets. It's not just the Prius line that they do this.

Toyota OEM accessories are almost always too expensive even if they are available in the US market. I can live with third party aftermarket or used OEM parts, but I couldn't find any other mudflaps for PRIME that is known to fit. And the days are getting shorter, I will soon have to put on the winter wheels. But yeah... I wish there was a cheaper solution. :(

I've had mudflap availability issues with several Toyotas I've owned since 2000. They have this weird mudflap aversion.

I did buy Toyota OEM mudguard for my Gen3. I don't think they were that expensive, and were from a local Toyota dealer. The thing was, I never installed them on my Gen3. I still have them new in a bag.

To tell the truth, I don't really know the effectiveness of the mudguard/mudflap for protecting the car. I don't think I have ever had mudguard/mudflap on any of our car except the Pathfinders. It seems to be fairly standard equipment on SUVs and trucks? I will see after installing the mudflaps on my 2020 PP, if it keeps looking better than 2017 PP without mudflaps.

I added the OEM's to my GEN 3. None of my 4Runners came with them but there were good non-OEM versions that I added and they do give good protection for the lower door and front of the rear fender.. Our Camry hybrid came with them. Go figure.

Yes, on the Camry and Corolla mudguards are standard. On the Prius, they're not available. What could be dumber than that? On the Prius Prime, only front mudguards are available. Unbelieveable!

FYI, you can also get OEM sill plates from Britain that aren't available in North America. After one winter the paint on the driver's door sill of my 2020 Prime has scratches. I went with cheaper Chinese sill plates. I'll see how well they last.

Their corporate attorneys probably told them they were associated with unintended acceleration. It makes no sense so that has to be it.;)

My 2 cents: mud flaps are ineffectual and tend to trap debris, get snagged, actually promote rust.

Those are some nice choices of mudguards. Combine that with these high-quality mud tires and wheels and you've got yourself a formidable ride that can withstand any road and terrain.

I'm looking for mudguards for my '22 Prime as well and I have font and rear sets in my cart on eBay. Seller is Burrows Auto Parts in the UK.

    Parts are:
    Front - PW389-47000
    Rear - PW389-47002

    Hopefully they're exact fits.

Please post pics when you get them installed and comment on the install and fit.
I also have a 2922 Prime that needs rear mud guards.
