So I know the extended warranty campaign for this is about to come to an end and I'm worried because my brake actuator makes that grinding noise much more frequently than it used to.

When parked and pressing the brake pedal it will pretty much constantly make that actuator sound. If I press it all the way down and wait for it to finish, then it takes two pressed to do it again. If I don't wait for it to finish, it will do it on every single brake press (see second half of video).

It's gotta be throwing codes for Toyota to fix it for free.

Does that code cause the check engine to come on or is it one of the triangles?

Yes, brake warning lights not the generic CEL(check engine light).

It would be very strange to have codes logged but no lights. If there is DON'T CLEAR THEM! As you read in that link, getting a fix w/o lights/codes is an uphill battle.

    GOOD LUCK!
