Techstream! The official diagnostic software written for Toyota/Lexus, and assumed to be for Scion(USA)/Daihatsu(JDM). The Toyota/Lexus dealers in the USA use Techstream for obvious reasons.

Bluetooth OBD2 readers and SCAN Gauge2 are toys, IMO. They will miss MANY Prius codes and pretty much have NO maintenance capability (bleed brakes, activate CHRS pump, spin the engine for compression check, activate highvoltage battery fan, etc).

Purchase from anyone on Amazon. Everyone is selling the same thing that comes from the same one or two suppliers, from Panda Land. Quality is all over the place, so you may have to return and buy again to get a functioning cable.

Installation is easiest on an obsolete Windows 32bit OS (XP/Vista/7) laptop. Ask friends/family who work in IT, for a spare obsolete laptop collecting dust; they will likely be able to donate for free. Mac install possible; search online. B/C the software is hacked, BEST to make this laptop only used for OBD2 diagnostic work. NO email. No online banking.
