My gen 2 2005 goes off after running the engine .

    I just this gen2 2005, the 12v battery is flat, I had to jump start it. After the engine came on, it run well......but it goes off after some 20mins, I would still need to jump start it with a 12v battery....pls what could be the Issue?. It's my first time on hybrid.

    Maybe you have a bad 12v battery and that needs to be replaced. Have you tested it? Are there any warning lights on?

    What voltage do you measure at the battery terminals, or between the front fusebox jump point and body ground, while the car says READY?

    Thanks, I have changed the 12v battery and it's fine.
    My ac blowing hot and my compressor making noise. No gas in the system and rye oil is low. What do advice? To resolve the ac issues?

    New ac? How about I oil the compressor and charge it? Will it not chill?

    be careful. read through the a/c threads before attempting anything. prius high voltage compressor is a bit different and can be easily damaged
