My Plug-in Will be Built in March (not April-May)

    Just got an update email that it'll be built in March.

    This is better news than the Jan. 6 email that said April-May. Again Toyota under-promises and over-delivers.

    My order was placed Dec. 8, toward the end of the pre-order period - one of the last orders to be placed. So this might be good news for some others here.

    And not a moment too soon, with gas prices the way they are.:)

    My order number is 3793, but that's immaterial as production is scheduled, generally speaking, by the order confirmation date and time (and then tweaked by production considerations).

    I was one of the last pre-orders, on Dec. 8 (because I changed color from silver to Clearwater Blue).

    I wonder if they're building all the rest of the pre-orders in March.

    I got the March email too. The website still says "Mar-Apr" though. Was hoping to see an actual date when I logged in!

    My number is 1564 and my order was finalized the afternoon of the second day... 11/18?

    It definitely looks like that. I have one of the last orders, #3983, ordered on Dec. 13, which will be built in March according to email today from Toyota.

    I plan on picking up the car from Putnam Toyota in Burlingame, CA and driving it to home in Denver, CO. Any tips as to how I should handle this long first trip?

    This is my first post. So pardon me if it doesn't come out right (couldn't figure out how to highlight the quote).

    Got email too! Order #1770 - order finalized on 11-18 . . now what?
    Is this email the "Manufacture Month confirmed?"
    When does the "Plug-in was Built" date come? through email or website?
    In Transit date come?
    All you experienced early birds who are driving a new Plug-in - please give us birds some info.

    This past Saturday I got a call from my dealer saying that my car would be built on March 26th, and I actually did not believe them since my online order status still said April-May. But when I saw this thread, I checked my spam mail, and found the email.

    My order was finalized on Nov. 25th.

    Actually I was glad that I had the April-May time frame, hoped for late May, as I wanted a little more time to get prepared for the new car . . . Now I have to get ready sooner than anticipated.

    I think I was 1073 or 1076. My dealer emailed me that my base Clearwater Blue would arrive in Chula Vista late March. Hopefully I can trust them

    Putnam Toyota advises my build will be the last week of March, with arrival in the S.F. area 2 - 4 weeks later. So - April Prius.

    The web page is still not showing the manufacture month.

    mine says: 'we'll be plugging away at your plugin in march. if you have any questions, contact your dealer.' i don't think there is a production 'day' yet and i expect a 4-6 weeks to see it at the dealer but have no idea really. they do seem to be running ahead of schedule tho.

    Mine was built 2/23/12. My dealer says his Toyota system shows its scheduled to leave Japan day-after-tomorrow. Still no ship at the port of TOYOHASHI to pick it up. Mine will go into the port at Long Beach and get trucked to Tucson. I believe the next ship will be CENTURY HIGHWAY NO.2, but not sure. TRANS FUTURE 7 is arriving at the port from NELSON, New Zealand. Don't know where it will be headed next.
