Greetings. Long time lurker, first time poster. My 2006 recently past 200k, so I decided to do the spa treatment. I replaced the ATF fluid, radiator and inverter coolant, the faulty odometer board, spark plugs and even wet sanded the headlights. Today I changed the pcv valve and the serpentine belt. While down on my back installing the bet, I found a spring and ball bearing that look suspiciously like some kind of valve. I have no idea where they came from and have no issues with the running of the car so far. I ran Toyota tech stream to clear a code leftover from the radiator coolant (forgot to clip back a plug), and everything looks normal. Does anyone recognize these two guys?[IMG]

From a ratchet? Flex head style or the ball detent that keeps sockets on.

    Dyethor,

What an eye!!! I'll have to second that as a likely source, but we need to get more specific. I vote for it coming from a 3/8" extension, 3" long purchased from HF. (have some myself...)

agreed. I am starting to think it came off a tool. I will check my ratchet as several were involved.

Have not seen a Craftsman lose that ball but I bet an HF extension will.
