Watch the above and notice the odd behavior. This started to happen to me a couple of weeks ago. I have no idea why it's doing that and it drives me nuts when I actually want to input a destination or bring up the audio screen without changing the station.

FYI after filming the video the buttons started to work again randomly, and later on I found out stopping and starting the car doesn't always fix the issue.

edit: After playing around with it a little longer I find the buttons act if the seek buttons are being pressed, so it seems like there's a short circuit somewhere.

You need to show your video to someone at the dealership and let them fix it under warranty.

Yep, I got better video of it and just sent them an e-mail. Also got a image here of the issue in action.

Sounds like it's time for a head unit swap - use that warranty!

How did you get that display to show up? Looks like a Prgramming or Maintenance display??

Just curious and let us know what the dealer finds or what the results are...

    Good Luck! ;)

You enter it the same way as the previous gen prius: hold info-phone and turn on/off headlights until the screen comes up. Hold disp at the main screen to exit.
