So, why not letting those new members and people that visit sporadically know what the issues with the Nav system are? Many of us don't spend the whole time checking out the forum, so every time that the discussion is around the nav, I found it appropriate to inform people about the reported issues.

In the spirit of letting new members know about the prius nav system:

I am among the many who are happy with the choice of the factory nav system. It has served me well over the last 4+ years.

    Re: Nav 1800

I'm sorry - I guess I need to further clarify - you were heading down the road one way and then another.
I'm unsure why you're so nit picky... but again.

The older versions of Prius would have upcharged you $450+ for XM to be added to the audio system that would accommodate XM from factory.

In the new car, you have to upgrade to a III to get JBL.
In the new car, there is a $1000 difference between II and III. I realize it includes a few other small goodies as well, but the JBL and XM capability are a large part of that $1000 upswing.

    Is that clear enough?

Back to the start of the thread - there is a Route Preference settings to allow/deny the following routes:
    Allow Freeway
    Allow time restricted road
    Allow Ferry
    Allow Toll
    Allow Seasonal restricted road
    Allow international border crossing.
My guess is you have allow freeway or toll 'denied' thus your route is not on one of these types of roads.
My NAV works fine for the most part.

    Re: Nav 1800

 I believe customers have the right to be somewhat "nit picky" with providers, would you agree? ... and it looks like you may be a dealer... not sure. Anyway, back to topic, I have never mentioned gen 2 in our discussions, have I? Please focus in Gen 3, forget about gen 2, and read my last post again. Does that make sense now? You don't have to answer... I realize our discussions may not add anything to the thread, so lets just chill out...

    Regards...;)
