I have never seen this before and probably never will again. Driving home this afternoon I saw a blur off of my left fender. When I looked through the rear view mirror I saw a Deer sliding across the highway (2 full lanes) on it's left side. It got up and ran off. That deer had some amazing reflexes. Half a second earlier and I had a new car.

    I believe that is Bambi's sister-in-law.

All kidding aside, that actually is pretty scary. Deer are fairly stupid animals at times. I was driving a minvan one time that was broadsided by a deer bounding across a divided highway.

As long as we don't lose control of the vehicle, or have a thrashing, injured animal come flying though the windshield, we can be grateful.

Thanks for sharing that. It reminds us to be extra careful, and keep a lookout for these creatures.
