I recently upgraded by front bumper to a 2013 bumper and now I'm installing the DRLs. I bought a relay harness on eBay which is supposed to turn the drls on and off. I have the power connected to the fuse box in the engine. The problem is, its a constant 12v and the DRLs stay on all the time . Where can I plug the into to get power only on ready or ACC mode?

Do you have a multimeter? I know some have tapped the windshield wiper washer motor wire for acc power.

I think others have tapped the fuse for the inverter cooling pump in the engine fuse box.

If you have a fuse tap and want to use power from the fuse box, then test the small metal terminal on both sides of the fuse for the inverter cooling pump with both power off and in Ready mode.

If you don't have a fuse tap, then test the wires going to the windshield wiper washer pump in power off and in Ready mode.

Once you have located the wire or fuse that's hot only in Ready mode then tap that for your relay trigger wire.

Congratz on your upgraded to 2012+ bumper....
I have 2013, and disabled the factory DRL and added a DRL switch w/auto-ON , Dimmer, and turn-signals functions.
I've added a "ADD-A-CIRCUIT BLADE STYLE FUSE TAP" into "IGCT NO.3" with an 10A fuse.
Is been close to two months now, I have no issue.
The DRL Switch won't come ON when in ACC mode, DRL only comes ON when in READY mode.

If you want ACC (rather than Ready) power, tap into the fuse box at #25 or #26. You don't necessarily need to use a add a circuit thingy. Just stick the wire into it ensuring it doesn't bridge under the fuse.

    26 IGCT No. 2

It's found in the Do-it-yourself Maintenance section of your owners manual.

Lower right quadrant of your fuse box.

    hi there ,

I need to stick my positive wire to a acc and my ground somewhere on the chasis for my back up camera for power.
any ideas, i was thinking to use a fuse tap as well but dont know what fuse to use.
I guess i am looking for a fuse that turns on when the car is on and off when the car is off, to prevent battery drain.
The instructions said to connect the positive to the acc , any ideas where the fuse box is and what number.
    Thanks

Can someone elaborate what fuse 34 is? What the heck is the "cooling system" IGCT No.3, i see the battery cooling fan is fuse 39 for the 2010.. I only need about 1amp for the DRL's and figured a "add a circuit" and a 2A fuse should work.. I just like to know what I am adding on to.

The fuses are labeled on the cover of the fuse box.

Yes, it is labeled "cooling system" IGCT No.3, but specifically, what is it? Google turned up no results either..

It might be the inverter coolant pump fuse.

I did this mod to our Prius Plug In and suggest that you do not tap into fuse #26 IGCT No. 2 (if you want to turn on ACC) as this will turn the LED DRLs on when you plug the charger in!

I will be switching over to having the DRLs turn on when Ready instead (IGCT No. 3) just because there is no point in having the lights on unless I am actively driving.

Ok, scratch that. I switched it over to IGCT No. 3, and it still turns on the DRLs when I plug in the car. I proceeded to switch the fuse over to EFI No. 2 (right next to IGCT No. 3) and voila!, no more DRLs lit during charge. The only thing is that the DRLs turn on with ACC power rather than Ready Mode; I am ok with that for now. I didn't feel like testing circuits last night.
