Need help fast! Driveline? slipped out of place

I set out to replace the drivers side front lower ball joint on my 2011 prius. Never done one before but this is how i learn. Like most times i try to do something myself, I messed up, creating bigger problems.

here’s the problem: as i was trying to break the ball joint castle nut loose, I pulled the knuckle too far outward and the axle or driveshaft (not sure what this piece is called) slipped out of place and i can’t get it to fit back in right. It looks and sounds like the disconnect is right at that larger accordion boot.
