I have some interior panels that I want to ship to another user in FL. I don't know a damn thing about shipping or getting the best rate out of UPS, FedEX, or the PO.

My problem is that all of these things are large and bulky. To put it all in one box, it is 3' x 3' x 2' length x width x height. That puts it into the bonus category of dimensional weight and the cost from 87507 to 33309 is about $200. But weight-wise we are talking about 20 lbs here. I know I get big bulky crap from Amazon and parts.com all the time and surely they are not paying dimensional shipping on their stuff.

I'd appreciate any insights here. Thanks in advance.

Useful info to know, I wish I could help you more.

    Guesses ...
    Use two boxes ?
Use a package closer to a cube ?

What are the dimensions of one unit, and how many units do you have (assuming all are the same) ?

You should be able to go to their websites and find most of your answers. Also, try calling them. I have always found they are very helpful in helping determine the best way to package and ship to get the lowest price.

Cheapest rate is by Greyhound. You drop it off and the recipient picks it up at a station.

I had forgotten about Greyhound! I remember way, WAY back in the day, the 70s?, my uncle shipped us something from Berkeley to San Diego. We got the call from Greyhound to come pick it up and thought he was nuts. But he's the ultimate cheapskate lawyer and carefully analyzes financial decisions from every possible angle.

I got a quote from ABQ to FL, FL for $38.95. That's probably gonna work.

UPS is how I usually go for large, bulky things. Never paid a three-digit shipping price for large or heavy boxes.

+1 on this for large items. Smaller items I ship UPS.
