Ok so I missed the recall date and tried contacting Toyota to plead my case but they don't care :( I want to get this fixed and my inverter went out this morning on the way to work... Is it possible to take the vehicle to an ASE mechanic and buy a used brake actuator to be put in? I read somewhere that its a Toyota only kind of thing but I wanted to see if I could save a little bit of $$ taking it to a trained professional.. Any help would be greatly appreciated
