I have a Prius C that I bought with a failed hybrid battery. I replaced the battery and have driven hundreds of miles but I can’t get the permanent P0A80 code to clear!
Any help is appreciated! Really need to get this code cleared so I can smog the car!

You could always disconnect the 12v battery for a few minutes.

Disconnected it for several minutes but the permanent code stays logged. Also tried erasing all codes with techstream but it still won’t clear. After hundreds of miles of driving no current or even pending code but the permanent code is still there.

If the code didn't clear after 12v disconnect, that means the problem isn't gone yet. This is potentially an indication of a problem with the replacement battery.

Thank you both for the replies. I ended up just driving it on a few long trips and the code finally cleared.
