I'm trying to replace my 2015 Toyota Prius Model 3 Head Unit with a 10.2 Inch Dasaita Android unit. There are two cables that I don't know what they are for.

Can someone tell me what these are for?

    Regards,
    Jeff

If I recall correctly, One of them is for the am/fm antenna. You will need to buy an adapter to convert it to a conventional styled antenna plug. I think the other is the antenna connection for the satellite radio.

I guess I did not recall correctly, the antenna connector is a rectangular white one. My GUESS is those cables will not be used by the new android system. There were a couple that were not re used when installing my system several years ago. I still think one MIGHT be for the Satellite antenna.

I have the unit installed. I'm in the process of configuring the unit now. Thanks for the help.

One is Sirius XM connector; the other is for GPS antenna. Both won't be needed.

I've just finished installing a Sinosmart branded Android HU with a 9" QLED screen. It was NOT plug and play for me (steering wheel controls and backup camera didn't work at first), but got everything sorted eventually.
All things considered, I'm extremely happy with the purchase.

OooOoOo looks nice & clean. For the USB ports, just buy one of those 2 port usb instrument panel ones and pull the cigarette lighter plug plastic panel toward you. Disconnect the lighter connector and cut a rectangle hole and mount the usb instrumental panel port in the rectangle hole. Use one of those 'add a fuse' wires and power up the usb port but make sure the voltage is regulated to 5v or 3.3v as needed.

I was able to find a direct fit snap in 2 port usb conection and charging port that I plugged in under the tunnel. When I finally got around to hooking up the wire for the charging feature, I hooked it to a live 12 volt fuse that keeps that port charging even with the car shut down.
I tried going back thru my emails but could not find it. Pretty sure it was bought on ebay. Careful though as Toyota apparently has 2 sizes of those knock outs that they used. I had to order a second plug that fit.

    Hello,

Can somebody help me with this:

I'm about to buy the same head unit, but before I would like to make sure of some things, I appreciate if you could help me with the following questions:

Can I keep original back up camera and avoid installing a new one with all the headache of cables? How did you manage to kee your original camera?

Will I keep the car performance menu like the OEM head unit? I would like to maintain the possibility to see my consumption and battery energy flow.

    Thank you in advance.
