I don't see the lower ball joint and the piece it connects to it should be right there on the bottom of your aluminum hub assembly below the brake caliper like at 6:00 It has three holes in it the correspond to the black flat metal piece If you have all that and you're just going back together that's not a new bearing or anything in there you're just going to reuse that then you make sure that the sensor is out of the aluminum hub assembly the little plastic piece and all dangling or whatever. Put the axle shaft back into the hub by pulling the strut outward from the car and aiming the splind axle shaft into the big hole which goes right through the rotor there which is connected to the caliper on the caliper is sitting on it. Once that's in and on you can put the nut on just a couple turns by hand and then you'll proceed to put the ball joint up into the black flat piece of metal with the three holes when you swing the ball joint up it'll line up with those holes there's two nuts and a bolt I think with vice versa tighten them up and you should well be on your way there should be YouTube videos showing this very well this is a normal swap on a Corolla Prius very similar

Haven't done this job yet, but I usually figure out the correct sequence of connecting stuff that I'm new to by doing it wrong at first. It's a learning curve. Always gets faster each time you do it.

PS: Please make sure to clean up that brake fluid spill so it doesn't flow downstream and pollute your local creek.

ive got the ball joint attached to the rotor which then attaches to the lower control arm , right?
i took off the lower control arm and I got a 2nd hand to put the axle in and the strut tower in and now i cant seem to fit the lca back in. Also that stabilizer bar is going to be a pita to fit back into place.

Welp that cv axel was messed up, felt like it detached from the trans but it did the weirdest thing when i turned it on to tow it. In neutral it just started spinning the wheel and wouldnt stop until i jammed a block of wood under it to drag it on. Overall the car has lots of issues and i might just end up selling the cat and battery and scrapping the rest. But it was a fun learning experience. Where does one sell a cat?

And after that a little scrubbing with some soapy water gets the last of it! :)

the Lca is on now. The old cv axel popped out just like the one I pulled from the junkyard. So is there a way to reattach this cv joint into that cup coming out of the transaxle? 52AC8994-001D-493C-AE56-675B3C9A1B23.jpeg Other than that I just don’t see how to clear this stabilizer bar link gap 7ECA4C79-A927-42E1-AE44-18DC24E19101.jpeg

Also just noticed this A1B488E5-D333-4CA0-AAB0-7317AC18EDBF.jpeg Some of that body damage was there when I bought the car but it looks like the tire is slightly bowed out at the top, right? Or is that an illusion from missing so much body in the area?
