When testing a Prius for mileage, it looks like this

Actually, it appears that there are three distinct versions of Bridgestone Ecopia EP422 Plus in 195/65/15 size. There are two listed on Tire Rack. Both have 91H Service ratings, but the one made in the US has 44PSI max and 640AA UTQG. The one made in Mexico has 51 PSI max and 540AA UTQG. But wait! There is a third. My Eco Two has a 89 service rating, 44 PSI and a 600 UTQG! I have not been able to find this tire from a tire source. This reminds me of the 2004 Gen 2 Prius with the Goodyear Integritys. There was a special OEM version that was LRR, while the ones available from tire sources was the standard Integrity. This leads me to believe that there may be something special about the 89 service rating 600 UTQG. What would be even more interesting is if the 89/600 was only on the Two Eco, and the others listed on this spreadsheet were one of the others 91/640 or 91/540. If that were the case, that would infer a special tire just for Two Eco. If those with Bridgestone 422 Plus can add the Max Psi and treadwear rating as I did, we would be able to answer this question.

From the pic in the previous page you can see, on a Prius Four, a 195/65/15 , 89 S , 44 psi , 580 UTQG , but they are Toyo Nanoenergy A29. Altough the tire is a different model, figures stay about the same. Interesting.
Nonetheless, as you say, it would be interesting to compare with the others 15" Ecopia 422 plus on non-ECOs

just took this photo from a friend today with his new Prius Two model with Bridgestone Ecopia 422 plus treadwear 600 , exactly the same tire with my Eco.

Right, this is done, the ECO magic doesn't come from tires.
Next, have really the Two ECOs better mileage of 2,3,4 non-touring? Or is an omologation trick?

The non existence of an ECO version for the EU market, and the large FE difference btw 15" and 17" on NEDC, makes your ECO magic at least suspicious...

    Of course not :)

    But :
    1) or the ECO ECU have unique settings (and it is difficult to understand why the same convenient setup is not applied on other trims)
    2) the EPA rating comes from different (and tricky) load calculations for the ECO
    3) the 2 EPA ratings are a) one for the ALL the 15", b) other for the 17" (as in EU)

    Can't think of other options.

I picked up some oil filters at local dealer today, they had 3, 2016 prius, two ecos and one two. All 3 had different tires, Bridgestone 422, toyo nano, and Dunlop enasave.
