The miniatures have coats that are two inches thick - while wet on the outside the coat underneath is dry. Plus they have heat stores - they haven't missed a meal... The Arabian is an older model (she will be 21 next month) and the Thoroughbred is an off the track "hot rod" so they get blanketed.

After a day of driving rain, I can navigate through the yard again.
