Well, I'm finally letting go of my 2008 with 345000 miles. The motor is still running but consuming a good bit of oil. They car also needs a catalytic converter, new ballast for HID lights, the control board for the speedometer, new front bumper cover, invertor pump, and the AC has started acting up. Long story short, I bought this car with 168000 miles on it for $2,500 it has served me very well, that was the high mileage on the motor, I don't she spending more money than it's worth making repairs. I want to pull the drive battery out to put in a 2007 that my son drives. They rest of the car will be headed to the junkyard.

Is it possible to put the transmission in neutral after the drive battery has been removed?

I believe others here have been able to put the car in neutral with a dead traction battery, as long as you have a 12v hooked up. A missing traction battery?
