That's great news! Sorry about all the pain.

Just tell the ladies that's a road map so they won't get lost on the way . . . .

haha. Now there's a line for you - in more ways than one.
Hopefully the scar won't hurt, like Harry Potter's, whenever there's a hot chick around. :)

They used staples to close the wound so it sorta looks like railroad tracks. Guess I could say "climb aboard ladies and follow the tracks on the Love Train!"

Hmm, you have a good point. :(

It would be great if it reacted like Frodo's Ring Wraith scar by aching with pain whenever wraiths or crazy women were near. Wait, NM. I'd be in constant pain me thinks.

I stay away from drugs. :p

Or Frodo's sword "Sting" which turned blue when Orc's were near. F8L we don't need to know if you have any "accessories" that turn blue when ladies are near . . . . ;)

That used to happen a lot early in my dating life. I'm not going back there again... Wait, Sting was a short sword. What are you trying to say, Mark???

    Ouch. That hurts. :(

Somehow, I don't think you need any help with the ladies. The current dame is kinda short, though, so I can see how she may it.

It's good those plans are on hold. Strawberry preserves are tasty on bread, but I really don't want anything to do with F8L preserves, and your co-workers probably don't either :)

Well since my real dame is pretty tall and blonde I decided to mix things up a little. Alas, with all drug-induced love affairs it had to come to an end...

I actually got grossed out there and they are my preserves! lol God you're nasty!

My Asian buddy had a great saying back in college. "I may not bottom out but I'll rub the %$^& out of the sides." Sorry for being foul but I always found it very funny. lol

    I don't think I can handle being upstaged. :p

    *Update*

I finished my 4th cycle of chemo. This last one only sent me to the ER once but man it was rough. One of the drugs, Irinotecan, was horrible on my digestive track! I am back on chemo but we removed the Irinotecan to make this cycle easier. I will be on this chemo indefinitely because the chemo does not really kill the cancer tumors although it can shrink them and keep them under control.

I had a CT scan 2 weeks ago and the results were positive. Of the 2 tumors in my lung, one is essentially gone. It was the largest one at 8mm in size. I don't know about the second smaller one yet as I could not decipher the radiology report so I have to wait for my next appointment to learn more.

I recovered from the liver surgery that I had back in February and I didn't have to miss many days at work beyond the 2 weeks in the hospital and at home recovery so I could walk again.

So beyond the bloody nose and general tiredness life is going on as usual and with the help of wonderful interns I get a lot of work done despite being sick. :)

That's great news F8L. You're a young gun and hopefully from the sound of things, you'll heal up in time and all this will be passed you. Good luck!

4/25/2009--the day you posted this thread--over 2 years ago. I know it's been one hell of a road and I don't think for a second you're sharing 10% of how tough it's been both physically and emotionally for you. But I'm inspired every day by your energy, hope and strength in all this...all the while doing positive things for the world around you.

    Justin, you freaking rock brother!

Me to brother. Me too. :)

I'm glad it turned out to be nothing. I have a friend who just went through the chemo/radiation treatments and breast removal and it definitely took a toll on her. Without a husband to help out she very nearly lost her house because she couldn't afford anything with all of the hospital expenses and loss of wages.

Evan, that brought about a couple of tears. Thank you, my friend. You are awesome! :)

F8L, I am only now seeing this thread. Sucks to be in hospitals and poison the body with chemo. I am sending you positive brain waves your way <---- (west that is) for the cancer to go away and for a speedy recovery. Thanks for letting us know about all this.
