Isn't key to IBS finding out what foods cause reaction and STOP EATING THEM?

Bring it on! I'll be all hefty again. I filled out my Wrangler jeans nicely when the Decadron caused me to eat all day plus 3 dinners!

My situation is a direct cause of losing part of my colon. It doesn't make much difference what I eat. The symptoms are still there. It was almost better when I had the ileostomy. I could eat anything I wanted and never get a "stomach" ache. :)

We see that a good bit with resections due to the diverticulitis. Doing diagnostic post op EGD's and colonoscopies. Trying to find the right diet is tricky because while they know which sections have which digestive function it varies so much from person to person. Post op adhesions can be a sneaky issue that cause similar symptoms but for physical vs. non-digestion reasons, constricting the bowel.
You might try the high fiber GT pediatric formula and see if that gives you a base that works. Gives bland a whole new meaning but peace in the underworld is worth it. If that works, you can add one item, it works great. If not, next item. It's also very concentrated high calorie though you don't really want to add fat for the sake of weight gain.

I'll send ya the last 5 I wanted to drop this year. Admittedly, I'm happy at 180 considering I was close to 200 at the end of last year. I know how I work, so I set my goal a little lower than I'd be happy with, knowing I was bound to slack off and the upcoming all-inclusive trip to Cancun in a couple weeks is bound to add a few back on!

Doesn't IBS cause you to, ummmm, blow up the toilet?

I've been gone for some time due to family and life but I'm back. The first thing I wanted to do was check in on you. I'm very happy to see you are still with us and fighting the good fight.

    *Update*

My lungs still suck. Or do they? Breathing is still troublesome BUT my CT scan from yesterday came back as "unchanged". That means there is no visible cancer. Yee Haw!
