Just picked one up from the stealer. First Prius. Got 50.2 mpg driving 45 miles from the dealer. :D Package 2 - No dealer add on (Socal dealers are doing crazy dealer options to take advantage of low supply) and $500 under MSRP. Best I can do... last one on the lot... no more shipment from what they say... whatever.. i am happy.

    THings to do:
    1) tint
    2) transfer over my sound system with sound processor from my 4Runner. (Glad i am not commuting with that thing anymore.. 285/70/17 AT tires with 3 inch lift was costing me $90 per fill-up every 4 days)
    3) Weathertech floor and cargo mats

Do you guys know how to "Activate" factory window sensor alarm? Dealer was trying to sell it and they just disconnected it. Car still locks with beeps.

Also, how do program the remote fob to unlock every door, without clicking it twice to open all the doors?

    Thanks

Congrats on your new Prius and welcome to PriusChat.

Regarding the door locks and window sensor, please refer to your owner's manual. It's easy to do, but too many steps to tell you online. Just follow the manual's step-by-step for the process. Also, in the manual you'll find step-by-step on how to reset your oil change mileage reminder. You'll eventually need to do that. Check it out. The manual is a rather good read!

Good mod choices once you get them. There's lots of thread discussion about those add-ons. The Weathertechs are good, but do a thread search on the HUSKIES, you may like them also.

Enjoy the high MPGs, technology and low-emissions.

Looks alot wider than mine. Congrats, enjoy! I too will be tinting my windows in the next week or two. I haven't really done any mods to it other than cutting some extra floor mats for winter driving, re-pinstriping...the factory pinstripes were weak. Deactivated reverse beep, deactivated seatbelt beep. "installed" a ScanGuage II. In winter months, I did the grill-blocking thing. Tires are inflated to 42/40. Oh...and I named my car...

I named my car too! It's 'Vera' because the AT package keeps me from veering into the other lane.

Congrats on your new Prius! I hope you love it as much as the rest of us...

Congrats on the car. However, you make more of a statement with Barcelona Red.

Went with darker Winter Grey for 2011, and thinking it looks purple! I still have time to change to silver or white. What would you do. No Black ones available.

You should choose Barcelona Red if you're talking about exterior colors. Hey, you get a charcoal interior!:D

Why not? Huskies are significantly cheaper. Huskies don't have the "leak phenomenon" as pointed by Judgeless...and because of such, WT are inherently inferior in design due to this defect. Either way, Huskies don't give up anything to the WT at a much cheaper price. What is not to love about them?

I had both Huskies and WT. I think it all depends which car you are talking about. For my 07 4Runner, Huskies were crap and WT was superior.

Im just excited about this car.. i just keep looking at the MPG reading on the road... amazing how it breaks 50..... im used to 18 mpg...
