New 2017 Prius Delivered with 39MPG @ 126mi (Aggressive Driving?)

    Mine had 250 miles on it with 34 MPG. It had come up from several counties away in California. I reset one of the counters and made my 50 mile trip home up a mountain and got 52 MPG. My lifetime average is 58 MPG (the actual total for the total odometer) and I live in the Sierra Nevada foothills. I don't have a level road anywhere. Anywhere I go is up and down. Up and down.

    I just drove from California to SLC, UT and even though it is a net uphill and I drove much of it at 80 MPH, I got 54 MPG.

    I have no idea why it was so low when I took delivery.

    Very easy to run mpg down, just by leaving the car on. Say sitting on the dealership lot. It'll bring on the engine off-and-on, consume gas without going anywhere.
