Anyone know about how much to fully charge will cost me using 110 volt adaptor. My electric rate are .3083 per kWh. With all fees and taxes applied. It supposed to take about 8.8 kWh capacity battery. So 8.8 kWh multiplied by .3083 kWh equals $2.71 dollars per charge each day if fully depleted. Is this correct? If the battery is not fully discharged I know it's less to change it.

congrats and welcome! yes, it doesn't take the full 8.8, maybe 7. so $2.15 or so? where on earth is electricity 31 cents? i thought we were high at 24 cents. all the best!(y)

btw, you don't need an adapter, it comes equipped with a 120v standard wall plug.

Thanks. For all the informational comments. I have posted pictures for you on another thread. Well western NY charges high rates compared to others. I am also on balanced billing. Looking forward to sharing more as time passes and questions get asked. Have not had it in the snow yet. Getting snow tires in the future.

    Welcome to PriusChat!

We've calculated the Prime to use about 5.7kWh of its battery. You'll be "charged" (pun intended) about 6.3kWh from the wall (because there are losses). Therefore, it would be 0.3083*6.3 or $1.94 for a full charge.

Now a "full charge" can range from 6.3 to 6.7kWh depending on how far you're into the HV mode.

Well at the 700 mile mark. Fuel economy with charge around 82 mpg and without changing around 60 to 62 mpg. With a charge running the hearted sometimes I see 72 mpg.
