They do a brisk business in salvage Prius restoration down there, and have a shelf load of MFDs.

They have so many that it's possible to get them mixed up. I bought a restored Prius from them once and it had the nav unit under the seat, but I noticed when I went to pick it up that they had put the dash back together using a non-nav MFD. They said oops and drove it back into the shop and had the MFD swapped with one of the right ones off their shelf in, like, eight minutes.

Repair service from them is probably a good option.

its not the screen thats the problem, its the communication between the screen and the accessories in the car.

Does it at least allow you to do the basic functions it's made to do without the accessories like nav system etc so you can turn the heat and air conditioning up and down and change the radio stations and what have you Yes or no just curious so when mine fails I don't go to a whole lot of whatever to get nowhere

No, I can’t adjust anything at all. The only thing that works is the animated wheels when the car is in motion.

ok so, I’ve been poking around at replacement screens. So what I’m seeing from Toyota is that 47071 is good until 10/2005 manufacture and supersedes 47070. If I read this right either will work? What say you all as I’m going to order a used tested one.

yes, the 71 superseded the 70 model. Either should work.
