What's your take on these new kits that are popping up.
Are they really that much better?

That's what the blurb says, that they are more efficient than oem. Just wondered if anyone had actually and test figures to prove/disprove.

They can make any claims they want. The OEM ones are proven to go 10 years without any maintenance. How does efficiency fit into that formula?

What is a more efficient battery?

Where did you hear this blurb? The round battery guy here says his are the equal of the factory battery.

    Paging @2k1Toaster

They look like CEBA batteries and they claim that they are rated at 8.0 Ah. Wouldn't be the same ones that @2k1Toaster tested and found to be only 3.5 Ah, would they?

There are different types. The shapes themselves don't immediately make them inferior. I say mine are equal.

Not sure how a battery can be "more efficient".

Yes, ours are rated at 6.5Ah just like the factory Toyota modules. And they are tested and proven to be that. With an inking system you can mark whatever you want onto the top. I can sell you a 100Ah battery module if you want, but it won't actually be. Like the flash drives back in the day that were 1/4 of the claimed capacity.

Saw that the warranty is 3 year / 30k miles. That's what CEBA offers I believe. So if it quacks like a duck...
