Hey guys. I own a 2004 white Prius. Basic model, nothing fancy. It's got the factory stereo in it,, and the lighter/charging port down at the bottom of the passenger side, under the stereo. Basically my questions is what is the best way to play my iPhone/iPod through the factory stereo? Without opening any panels and adding a cord to the back of the stereo. I see these FM transmitters but none of them seem long enough to opperate while plugged into the lighter port.

The FM transmitters use radio waves to get the signal to the factory stereo and you tune to the FM transmitter's channel to hear it. You only need to plug your iPhone into it. Some people have complained that there is a loss of fidelity using FM as FM frequency response is 50Hz to 15 kHz.
