New here with a new Prius (2004)

    As they are Michelins then hopefully they are one of these:

    Michelin Energy Saver A/S
    Michelin Primacy MXM4 (V-rated)
    Michelin Premier A/S

    These are all seasons tires and are, as you have noted, not the best for snow conditions.

    Everything else sounds good.

    I meant to post a while back to answer the question on tires, but apparently it didn't post... They are Michelin Defenders. Still running great, now doing about 47-48 mpg (driving carefully and keeping my lead foot out of it!) Driven over 2000 miles now, going on 3000, still hasn't needed a drop of oil (or anything else)

    That's right on pace with what I get with my Defenders in a flat, arid, hot climate at 1300 or so above mean sea level, FYI. It sounds good to me. :)
