    Makes sense with the way they are doing the math.

    But go too high, >$74,999, and you only get $3000. Nada at the $150k mark.

    I'm guessing they didn't want to give too big of an edge to the cheaper models that hit all the incentive amounts.

    That upper limit sort of makes sense. There's a bit of a discussion about whether those buying Model S's really need that $3,000 or $5,000 rebate. It's nice for sure but it might be better spent to incentivize those in the $30,000 range and get more "regular" folks in that way. The Model S sells itself.
