Now i can't bleed the coolant. Put the engine in. Put in coolant. Let it go in maintenance mode lots of air and bubbles and loud noise coming out of the coolant lines. when for a drive and saw Red temp light come on. Pulled over looked at coolant added more.. seems like it keeps getting pressures or that there is tons of air in the system? I used water and not i may drain it and refill it slowly.

Or is my headgasket toast and i got screwed by the junkyard? Was hoping to have this car sold today.

Toasted head gasket for sure with exhaust gasses forcing coolant out

A great thing about a leakdown tester (compared to a compression tester) is it doesn't require cranking the engine. A leakdown test could be done on an engine in a crate, before going to the trouble of installing it. I'm pretty sure I would do it, too.
