I have 2014 prius with 80k miles and except for oil change and cabin air filter and air filter. I haven't done any other service on it. Now my MPG has dropped to 4.2 and taking off is not as quick as used to be. Please I need some maintenance advice. Thanks all of you.

Mpg is 4.2 miles? So you're at empty after 50 miles?

Cheapest solution, pump up your tires to 40 psi in front/38 psi in rear.
It is early, but check your 12 volt battery.
Wheel alignment would need to be horrible, does it track well?
    What does the dealer say?

20k miles is not new tires. Threw in a curve ball eh?

I'd check the tire pressure and the 12v battery.

My car gets around 40mpg with 17 inch wheels, so I can't say yours is bad

I probably can get 50mpg if I drive like Ms Daisy. But I like being a little aggressive sometimes. 40mpg is great, can't complain

dropping from 50 to 40 is 20% and there has to be a cause. if your style of driving, weather and commute is the same, you have to begin a process of elimination. tire pressures, 12v, throttle body, injectors, air and cabin filters, maf, intake manifold, egr, pct, etc.

It's a long shot because the car is relatively new, but I've read that a dying traction battery can cause reduced mpg. At least it's still under warranty.
