New Prime/plug-in owner question about battery charging

    You'd need an OBDII reader or a Scangauge to get actual numbers. But they really don't matter. The bar graph shows all we really need for driving. When it's at the top, it's about 83%; when it runs out and the engine has to start, it's at 13% assuming axle's numbers are right, and I assume they are.

    It varies slightly but most of the time it is 100% = 82-83% and 0% = 12-14%... The only real usefulness in knowing this really is that you know that when you charge it to 100% you're not really not charging to 100% and thus not "hurting" the battery.

    There's really no other reason to look at that, I mean I suppose it can be helpful to look at the voltage of all 95 cells and such, but unless things like spreadsheets, graphs, data and blinky lights is something you like it isn't really necessary to look at.
