New Prius battery draining while car off

    Right when he implies that the OP is stupid, blind or lying when he says the display stays ON for an extended period of time ??

    Disconnect 12 volt battery for a minute allowing all ecu's to reset. Then reconnect charged battery should take care of your problem.
    Anytime you try and start a genII prius with a dead or discharged battery ecu's, relays get stuck on various electronics latched up. Its totally unpredictable what will be malfunctioning. Reboot all Ecu/computers etc. By removing power then reconnecting 12v battery. Aftermarket blutooth adapter probably drained battery in that week it sat

    Yes, folks. I removed the aftermarket ipod adapter and the problem went away. The MFD now turns off when the car is turned off.
