@Zipy I could be way off, could the mileage hit have anything to do with the time of year? I think if you ask anyone that lives in the northern half of the US is also seeing a mileage hit even without new tires.

I switched to Michelin X-Ice and with the lower temperature, my Prime EV range went from 42 km this summer to 32 km now :(

I have Nordman 7 s inflated to 40 lbs. I run the engine for heat more this year than previous years and so far my electric range hasn't dropped as much as it usually does when the weather gets colder. I still use electric, but I save it for times when I wouldn't take such a hit on EV range, letting the hybrid system do it thing the way Toyota designed the Prius to do.

Indeed , you truely understand the difference between a BEV and a PHEV , hauling an ICE and trying not to use it , is counterproductive in some conditions

When I know I'll need the ICE, I'll turn it on before my drive (ie, use Defrost) so it's already warm and ready to go when I need it later on in the drive. Having a -5C cold engine starting to spin on the highway isn't the best the best way to wake it up!

Because cold weather has a bigger impact on mpg than tires.....
