Toyota City (JNN) - Toyota announced today a new recall to fix Toyotas suspected of having problems with unintended acceleration. "We're convinced this is a hardware problem," a Toyota spokesperson said. "Therefore, we are sure this new hardware fix should end the dangers of runaway Toyotas." The new device is deployed using current air bag activators. A large red button will be placed on the dash, about four inches in diameter. When the driver presses the button, the new hardware will be activated.

There is a risk ripping out the back half of the Prius once you hit the Deploy button.

Alternatively, you could park a CHP cruiser in front of the Prius. I doubt the Prius could physically move a parked Crown Vic.
