I bought my prius c in mint condition back in November. Long story short i managed to blow out 3 of the 4 speakers by the end if january. I put in all 4 kicker door speakers (professionally installed). Now there is no bass at all. Whats the next step? Im no bass head, but i do want knocked loose to have some punch when i turn it on full blast. Even when i turn the bass all the way up on the head unit it just distorts and sounds awful. Trying to avoid a visible subwoofer if at all possible
not much room under seat, and there is wires for seat and jack under driver seat but you can move that have custom box made and use and lose the floor space under the rear passenger feet to use as part of your air space need for box. use this. 10TW3-D4 - Car Audio - Subwoofer Drivers - TW3 - JL Audio or remove the rear full range speakers in rear door and use this is cheap one 8W1v3-4 - Car Audio - Subwoofer Drivers - W1v3 - JL Audio but sub is bad in door you need to build a sealed box in the door to become part of the door must be air tight door must be extreamly sound dead-ding treatment lot of custom labor if you can not do it your self it will probably be too expensive. you can not get good sub bass just hanging speakers in a untreated door. but no matter what you will need a AMP to drive bass speakers or the will sound like garbage. this is my babys in a sealed box enclosed. 8W7AE-3 - Car Audio - Subwoofer Drivers - W7AE - JL Audio sealed box give you fast true musical reproduction of bass. ported open box give you that boomy floppy bass. i use two mono block AMP specifically designed for sub low frequency. XD600/1v2 - Car Audio - Amplifiers - XD - JL Audio stock radio dose not have power. need amp. and if you do 6'' or 8'' rear door subs you need to use so much room to build a air tight box in the door you will not be able to roll down rear window. just crack it a few inches.
I for got to tell you watch this YouTube channel first for about a month before you buy 4 speakers and put them in your doors and they sound like crap. don't be that guy who makes that mistake.
