Yes, I can put in in drive.
I can drive all I want as long as I don't turn the car off.
IF I turn it off, it won't go into drive. I'll go to neutral.
If I take out the orange thing in the battery and I disconnect the 12 volts battery, I can turn it on again, and drive. after one minute or so, the triangle will come back on.

that is very interesting. so, when you drive it, are the mpg's good? does the battery indicator act normal? does the engine operate as expected?

    Everything shows normal.
Except that the triangle turns on and when I turn the car off it won't come back up. I guess is a feature that prevents the car from shutting off in the middle of the highway..
The code still is the same.. P0A80 pd

Now that you mention the 12 volts, I remember that one time when I was charging the 12 volts battery, I turned the prius on, and when I disconnected the 12 volts battery charger, the triangle came back right away..
It may have to do with that..
I thought It was because the 12 volts battery was weak, which it was..But I assumed that it would have been charged afterwards when I tried the prius again.
I'll test the 12 volts battery tomorrow.
How much should it read? I know you can do that with the screen of the car but I don't exactly remember how.. I'll google it.

the best way is with a digital volt meter. read it in the morning before the car is turned on. don't open the driver door, that activates electronics. pop the hood tonight, so you can access the jump point in the fuse box. it should read 12.6 volts or better.

I have those wireless keys. Batteries may be low in that too.
I'll check with the multimeter tomorrow as you suggest.
Thanks and have a good night!

That is low, you need to charge it up using modern charger for AGM batteries with a 4 amp output. Once removed from the charger and been left sitting for about 2 hours, the voltage should be ~12.9-13.1.

I don't think it is the original one but it is coming up for 5 years in Dec. That date code decodes to Dec 4, 2010. At coming up for 5 years old, this battery may have seen better days. You can try charging it, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Is that the bottom of your battery tray all rusted out, and can you see through to the ground below? Ye-ouch!

Gen II Prius are known to leak at the joint at the top of the hatch where the black roof strips end. Search (using Google) on Prius chat for water in battery compartment tire well. Is there any water in there, or is any water that leaks in there just going to drain out the holes?

yes, you'll want to do some repairs to the battery area, very common to have water. find the leak and repair that, and buy a new battery, that one is toast.
