I took the battery to advance, and they told me that its ok.. It needs to be a bit recharged, that's all.
Any thoughts about the code P0A80 pd?

If you are still getting P0a80, you got a bad battery on ebay.

Isn't the year first on those date codes on the battery? I'm pretty sure it is and that would make it the original (Dec 10th 2004). Which makes sense for an 05 Prius. Its not unheard of for a Prius battery to last 10+ years.

The software only runs under Windows -- either Win XP or Win 7 32-bit -- BUT you can setup bootcamp (or another 3rd party VM software such as VMware, Parallels, etc) and then install your windows in there.

I know for sure that it runs on a MacBook in either Bootcamp or VMware.

    hope this helps.

    Hi guys!
I bought a used battery and after installing it in the car the triangle came up..
This is the reading for the battery I bought:
    1 7.6
    2 7.68
    3 7.68
    4 7.68
    5 7.68
    6 7.68
    7 7.68
    8 7.68
    9 7.68
    10 7.68
    11 7.68
    12 7.68
    13 7.68
    14 7.68
    15 7.68
    16 7.69
    17 7.68
    18 7.68
    19 7.68
    20 7.68
    21 7.68
    22 7.68
    23 7.68
    24 7.68
    25 7.67
    26 7.68
    27 7.68
    28 7.21

I see number 28 low, and number 1 a bit low.
I have replaced number 28 and now it has 7.68 like the others.

I have discharged and charged number 1 a couple of times to try to bring it up, but it's not going above 7.60 (I did it with a 12v battery charger at 2 amps. is this acceptable?)

    Any thoughs?

    I replaced 1
Now I'm getting the triangle &a red power light and the word "problem" on the display.
    Car won't start.
If I disconnect the battery and connect it back it starts for one minute and then the triangle, "problem" appears again. If I turn the car off, I get the red power bottom and it doesn't start again.

I went to check mode pushing the display and lights on off 3 times to check the battery.
    It reads 12.3
It reads 11.8 under load (pushing power bottom again)

Too funny. 12V charger at 2Amps, despite the individual module is rated at 7.6Volts! Try some some thorough research before attempting the whack-a-mole module replacement.

    1) Get mini VCI
    2) Buy a temporary subscription to techinfo.toyota.com, to get the complete repair procedures, illustrations, and many other useful aspects.
    3) You never read this thread, as it contains a how-to, and necessary equipment (definetly not a 12V battery charger). You should read it in its entirety to learn and gain a thorough understanding.
