Newbie here...used Gen2

Hello everyone,

I bought a used 2007 Prius base model, with 84,000 miles, in September 2018. It lived in Texas until I brought it back to Chicago for it's first winter and -20 temps!

Thank you to so many users on this site. With what I've learned here, I've changed the trans fluid and flushed the (1 gallon!) of brake fluid, which has made the brake actuator chirping go away.

Next up is finding a used Prolong Deluxe Reconditioning Kit to use on the original hybrid battery, which seems in decent shape after checking with Torque Pro.

There's a lot to learn for a newbie. I'm only scratching the surface with this forum and Torque Pro. I've also read good things about Techstream and see that it is affordable, but I'm overwhelmed as it is.

 

Thanks for the advice. You're right. With the Prius being 12 years old, it needs some attention.
