New to the forum, don't currently own a Prius, but am looking into getting one.

I was always kind of ignorant when it came to hybrid's. Had no real interest in them, but through my work I became involved working in and with Toyota's a lot and did some research into how the hybrid system worked and then found the simple yet impressive technology amazing.

I travel long distances both for work and the commute and with petrol prices here in Sydney getting expensive I'm looking into cheaper transportation alternatives. Hence the Prius.

Been doing research for several months now, fairly set on a 2nd generation somewhere between 2005-2009. Thought I would join the forum officially instead of just lurking and reading from a distance.

    Thanks

    welcome!

2008 or 9 would be my choice. consider a new battery at some point, or rebuild yourself.

    all the best:cool:

They range quite widely in price, when I filter down by my state only there are only 6 2nd generations available, only 4 of which are a reasonable distance to travel.

Cheapest is $4,000 most expensive is $13,000. So the search could take me awhile to find a nice one.
