I went to the Pit for EGR cleaning in early 2020, but all other mods are myself.

Hey, haven't been here in a while. Prius is in the shop getting EGR service, it was all gummy they said. It's been such a good performer, we just bought another one. It's a 2014 V. It has the lift kit and 17" wheels. Has an upgraded head gasket and 2015 hybrid battery. Sea mist color, and came with a luggage rack. All of the band's gear fits inside! First time filling up with gas in 3 weeks, 42 mpg. Wife has a heavy right foot.

Thanks to a NY buddy while we were staying warm in Aruba, who said, "buy an electric car" - - I thought he met a plug-in Tesla. But then I thought about a Prius - glad I did. First one is a 2011 Hatchback. 180,000 miles now after driving it about 6,700 miles - 51.5 average MPG city, country driving. Like it so well traded my wife's 2016 Equinox Chevy for a 2018 Prius. It's only got 115k miles - 3888 of ours at 57.65 mpg - all highway. Love it also.
But I've got a problem learning about them. At first I got generation number and trim levels completely not-understood. Now I think I understand generation numbers but what are the trim levels? Please point me to a chart or something. I printed Hearst Business Media pages from this site, but I haven't really understood that yet. TIA.[IMG]

What are you using, smartphone, pc, mac?

Dead-easy on a Windows pc, is to have the picture in Clipboard, basically an on-deck image, that will be inserted in your text field, where you choose "paste":

    upload_2022-11-28_8-25-32.png

I used Windows "Snipping Tool" for that.

Or, if you have say a jpeg, and you copy it (say right-click it and choose copy), it'll also be in Clipboard, and you can paste similarly. The hotkey in Windows for paste is <ctrl> V, and for copy it's <ctrl> C.

Besides using Clipboard, you can use the Upload a File button, below the edit window:

    upload_2022-11-28_8-29-29.png

If you do nothing more, the picture will just be attached to your text contribution, an icon at the bottom. Readers need to click it to view. This is less obtrusive too.

Or having gone the Upload a File route, you can then opt to embed it in the text:

The file(s) you've uploaded will appear below the text field while you're in the editor, and you can set the cursor where you'd want the image in the text, then click one of these buttons:

    upload_2022-11-28_8-33-42.png

Switching now to an iPhone: again you can use Upload a File button, then choose Photo Library, tap an image, then Add:

The rear bumper seam looks very uniform; no saggy bumper syndrome? Or you’ve done some remedy?

No, it was like that when we got it. It now looks a tad dirty. But still not bad.

No, but it does get spotty when the weather is hot and humid, the spots fade this time of year. Kinda looks like a dirty dalmatian dog.

Think about it. It's been 2 whole decades since the Prius (Rev1) actually looked like a normal car.
It'll likely be a PC member I'm guessing. But you never know. Eventually it'll be a newbie.

Would love to post a photo of my new Prius but that will take a while in the current high demand / low supply situation.

The new Prius caught my eye. Its the first model where Toyota invited a design team to the task IMO, not just engineers.

Also, why does the forum require to pick a Prius model when signing up? Many don't own one yet and have questions before buying one, so there should be an "none" option.

Here is my most recent purchase from 2019. I was on the list for the new C8 but not willing to wait any longer. At that point nobody wanted the C7 anymore and many sat on the lots, with huge discounts. Got this one for 50k out the door with a 12k discount. I don't think that we will ever see a market like that again. I could sell it today for 10k over my purchase price, after beating the crap out of it for over 3 years straight.

Thanks! Just found "Other none hybrid", that will do for now.

Now I wonder why my linked photo isn't showing. And since my post had to wait for moderation yet again, its now too late to correct it.

You can upload your photo to PriusChat. I’m not sure why your image isn’t showing. It could be because .cc isn’t a recognised domain name that Danny had set up.

    Hi !
Just bought this beauty, ALL white and sleek...
2020 model and working diligently as it needs to, I cannot expect it to otherwise. Technology has developed since the 1999 Gen 1's which I sold in Boulder when they came in as brand new contraptions (as 2000 models).

Well, cannot say enough good things about TOYOTA technology, surprising AND beautiful ❤️...
Rear bumper PIC. has the reflective tape to "individualize" MY vehicle.

I cannot understand that message..., YOU(computer) try living where it's hot and humid and raise the temperature... You'll fry your "transistors" !

    Here's my vehicle: PXL_20230104_025712855.jpg PXL_20230117_214102964.jpg
