A bizzare legal system to this American's eyes. 90% plus conviction rates via confessions. Plus the political overtones of Nationalism are troubling. Fair trial, ha.

"FAIR" is an allusive quality based on a particular in both objective and emotional qualities in the point of view of the beholder. Laws are passed based on political, qualitive, quantitive , and emotional factors, among other criteria.

One person's or a certain conclusion of fair is different from another even if one factor or parameter is different.

In our legal system based on English Common Law, "stealing" is justified on the basis that the particular group in pawer "has a better use for the property. This is known as "adverse possession." There are no such provisions under many other cultures and legal systems.

In legal systems, it called "jus soli." or the law of place" (jurisdiction).

Then Nissan branched to Leaf EV drivetrain out beyond BEVs. They have series hybrids with no plug using it, and their design philosophy for FCEVs is small fuel cell, big battery. The FCEV minivan they tested in Brazil was really just the commercially available BEV one minus the charge port, and plus a fuel cell.

update: former green beret michael taylor, 60, and his son peter, 28, have been extradited to japan to face trial.
the pair were put on a plane at boston's logan airport, where well wishers shouted, 'good riddance'!
