No lights flashing when unlocking/locking - but does beep

    Hello! First time poster here.

    I just bought a used 2016 Prius III and when using the keyfob to lock or unlock my car, it will beep but the lights won't flash. Does anyone know if there is something I can to fix that or is this something that I need to take back to my dealer for?

    Have you tried the other FOB? It might be a battery. The Manual refers to it as a KEY if you are searching for information, which includes the following:

    Check the vehicle settings menu in the touch screen, I'd not there I think it can be set using Carista or by a Toyota dealer.

    Thanks! Do you know where I should look in the vehicle settings menu? I've checked the manual and can't find the exact section (sorry - Newbie!).

    And the key fobs are brand new so I don't think the battery is the issue. :) I've tried both and neither flash the lights.

    You said that the car is used, but the FOBs are new - are they genuine TOYOTA parts? Maybe when supplying NEW FOBs they haven't programmed them.

    Gosh I hope so since they were supplied by the dealer. One, they claimed, was the original and the other they programmed because they lost one of the fobs. (n)

    The Carista module and app allows you to program not only the beep and light flashing, but a bunch of other things. The dealer can do this as well.

    Once I entered mine, the App emailed me a list of my selected settings. Here are the ones for my remote (most, but not all are the same as the default settings).
    1. Doors / Windows / Remote

      Blink turn signals when locking/unlocking with remote
      *YES* / NO

      Beep when locking/unlocking with remote
      *YES* / NO

      Volume of beep when locking/unocking with remote
      OFF / 1 / 2 / 3 / *4* / 5 / 6 / MAX

      Beep when opening/closing windows with remote
      *YES* / NO

      Warn when door can't be locked with remote because it's open
      *YES* / NO

      Warn when a window is still open when locking doors
      *YES* / NO

      Warn when sunroof is still open when locking doors
      *YES* / NO

      Panic function on remote
      *ENABLED* / DISABLED

      Re-lock doors automatically if you unlock, but don't open a door
      *YES* / NO

    Some of those settings can be set from menus either on the small or large display. There is a customizations chart in the manual. I will try to post the relevant section later.

    Thank you! I didn't realize that Entune had additional settings. Going in there, all I had to do was check it and voila!
