    Ah....an electric impact wrench.
You do not need a permit for those - and they are pretty good for loosening lugs.

Since 'all things electric' and cordless are prone to fail at the most inopportune times, I cheat.
I use a 25" breaker bar with a 1/2" deep socket of the appropriate size.
    Harbor Freight.
    Approximately $20.
There's room in the well of a Prius-sized car for one, and I use the socket in my torque wrench following my tire rotations.
Since I am the one who rotates my tires I always know that I can get the lug bolts on and off.

    @ Roadside Assistance:
I've had AAA for over 30 years, and it's cheap at the price.
Tires are easy enough to repair/replace myself and usually I can be back on the road in only a few minutes.

    MY mileage.
    Others will vary.

Reminds me, I'm supposed to return to the shop where my wheels were balanced, to get the lug nuts checked.
Hope they don't over-torque them like last time, I broke a lug wrench trying to get the tire off. What goes through some heads...

Seems like a lot of extra bother and expense for a fairly rare and unlikely event.

I've similar setup for the DeWalt 20V and the Milwaukee. The unit I generally keep in the car is a cheap piece of junk but uses the 20 volt battery system that I already own in the DeWalt so that's what gets used but it usually stays in the car or in the car I'm driving or traveling in it's cheap junk the unit this stays in the car was a whopping 68 bucks or something like that it's rarely been used but my real DeWalt that's in the carport is used almost daily blade changes on lawn mowers and the like
