They're a pretty good set of tyres. We're on our second set in our 02 Camry (OEM tyres). They're quiet and comfortable and good in the dry. They're ok in the wet and snow. We replaced ours at 70ish thousand kilometres. It's a bit short but not too bad. Mileage is pretty good too.

Yeah, I think anything is a step up from the Integrity.

This feature really shouldn't be all that difficult. It's been available on bicycle computers for many years.

Not difficult at all, probably. But if it were available on cars, don't you think folks who are paying for use of the car by the mile, for example, leasers, would adjust the "size of the tire" setting to minimize the miles driven?

That could backfire by risking a few speeding tickets, though, because they'd have no idea of their true speed! Actually, I was thinking the rpm setting could be adjusted by a dealer or tire shop, not the driver. How does Toyota make allowances for different tire sizes in different markets? There must be an adjustment in there somewhere.

I've seen trucks and cars in the bad old days where a different gear in the transmission that drives the odometer can be installed to allow for different tire size/rear axle gear ratios. I imagine anything very modern probably does this through software, but probably not accessible to the owner, or even guys in a tire store for that matter..

Either the sizes (and therefore revs/mile) are close enough to not need adjustment, or the adjustment is made at the factory.

The tires aren't that much different in different markets.

Interesting. On my car, CAN-View reports about 1 mph less than the speedometer at speeds of 55-65 mph.

I don't go fast enough to get a 2 mph difference, and haven't paid attention a lower speeds.
