So there is no manufacture date on the battery. I'm wondering if it was on a sticker and the seller removed it? Tried the reading again with a more expensive meter and it showed 12.7.

So I charged the battery last night to 13.02 from 12.7.

Checked again this morning and it was at 12.8.

Sounds similar to the one I got. They get over 13 when charging, but it's so-called "surface charge". It then settles back. The one thing that bugs me, seeing that our car sometimes sits 3~4 day with driving: there's a constant, low level drain being imposed by the battery being in the car. It's not a lot, but if you're constantly having it sit those few days it's worth doing a periodic recharge.
