Tablet won't let me search, got a question about upgrading fog light bulbs.

Debating on going HIDs, I know the housings are too small to run 55w ballasts. But how about 35w?

Also, how do I safely tap into another voltage source, so I a can operate the fogs independently of the rest of the lights? I've used an add a circuit on my older car, but with a hybrid, it kinda scares me to do anything electrical.....

    Thanks in advance...

You don't want to put HIDs into reflector based lights like the oem foglights. The glare would be really bad for everyone around you.

Use a relay to get power to your foglights. Use a fuse tap to supply power to the coil side of the relay with your foglight switch in that circuit, not the one actually powering the foglights.

Forget about LED headlight bulbs. do this: See Post #12

Best money spent!! I've installed the 55w, it's bright than stock, don't have issues with blinding other people and the Hi-Lo Function is still intact.

However, if you still want to take it a bit further, Pull apart the lights and install some Morimoto Projectors.

The OP is asking about oe foglights, not lowbeam headlights.
