Try a strip of black Velcro tape, the furry side. Works well for that.

    thanks for the tip..
I might have to open my setup again and adjust it. my double din unit did not need any side trim fillers.

I can tell from your photos that you don't have the Toyota fascia piece. It's the Toyota piece that needs the fillers. The advantage of the Toyota part is that the texture matches the dash color perfectly, AND it snaps into the other dash pieces, so there are no light gaps. The Velcro "fuzz" trick I mentioned is a strip I put on the top of the radio for a snug fit against the fascia.

I'm traveling now, but if you want a photo, send me a PM and I'll do it Monday or Tuesday.

Just purchased a 2012 Prius II, and need to install my DNX9960. I have read through all the threads on Metra, Scoche, and the OEM part #55405-47080, regarding fitment and color match. Still a little confused on LH vs RH part.

It appears to me that the 2012 prius has a shiny silver radio trim bezel, and all other options, even the OEM part #55405-47080 are either black, dark grey or a darker silver??? - all based on photos, which can be very deceiving.

I would like to go with the OEM part, but remain unsure if it is a true color/texture fit to the 2012.

Anyone have any experience or comments on differences between 2010/2011 and the 2012 trim color/texture?

Know of a better option than any of these 3?

    Thanks much,

    Hank

If you could post a picture of your radio and surrounding area it would help. On Toyota.com the 2012 looks the same as the 2010, but that means nothing.

I will post a photo soon.

Just found out that Scosche will have a kit for the 2012 in June.
