20201027_185918.jpg I just bought a used Hybrid Battery Control Module Computer ECU ECM 89890-47092 on ebay and when I received it the toyota label with part# was missing. The seller confirm it is one and claimed the label came off when it was cleaned. It also has japanese writing on the part. My question is whether or not this is a genuine toyota part of aftermarket?

Can you open it up so we can compare components inside with OEM one?

Also there may be some labeling inside that will help clarify as well.

As far as I'm aware, there are no 'aftermarket' ecus available for the Gen 2 HV battery. I've also seen several 'big name' rebuild company batteries that have the Toyo label removed from the ecu.

The important thing is the condition of the pins in the sockets.

So many corroded pins in sockets in Gen2 and Gen3... There must be something strange with moisture build up in that socket? Wish I better understood why? Is it something Toyota fixed in Gen 4 and other newer hyrbids?
